Take Your Programs to the Next Level!
Functional Stability Training is a new program by Mike Reinold and Eric Cressey overviewing their approach to an integrated rehabilitation and performance training system.
In order to function properly, our body needs to be strong and mobile, but control and stabilization of this mobility is often less than optimal. Unfortunately, stabilization is often overlooked in the design of rehabilitation and performance programs. Traditional program design relies too much on stretching what is tight and strengthening what is weak. We are missing the boat on stabilization and it’s effect on enhancing optimal movement patterns.
Functional Stability Training is Designed to Optimize Movement.
It begins with the simple understanding of how the human body works most efficiently and integrates those concepts into rehabilitation and performance training. It is based on functional anatomy and biomechanics, not the simplistic anatomy you learned in school.
It is a combination of functional assessment, mobility, strengthening, corrective exercise, manual techniques, dynamic stabilization, and neuromuscular control.
In essence, this isn’t one system, but rather the integration of thought processes from several sources and disciplines that Mike Reinold and Eric Cressey have accumulated during their careers.
Basically, Functional Stability Training is how Mike Reinold approaches building his rehabilitation programs for injured people and how Eric Cressey builds corrective exercise progressions for injury prevention and performance training.
Functional Stability Training is the integration of physical therapy and performance enhancement training and the integration between mobility, strengthening, and dynamic stabilization.
“As I get older, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I get jaded from time-to-time. I see so many crappy fitness products on the market it makes me sick. But when guys like Eric Cressey and Mike Reinold put something together, I’m reminded how kick-ass and awesome our industry really is, and how impactful we can be if we set out minds to it. To say that it’s excellent would be an understatement. Quite simply, these are two of the best in our industry, and this seminar is top notch. Whether it’s assessment, coaching, program design, or just little tips and tricks, I guarantee you’ll learn a ton from this seminar series.”

“When I think of one of the more “dynamic” duos in the industry – not to mention two guys who put out a TON of quality content – it’s hard not to think of Eric Cressey and Mike Reinold. Eric and Mike leave no stone unturned in the program. This would be a SOLID addition to any fitness professionals library.”
